When gift wrapping a basket in fabric it adds a romantic feel to any gift basket. You can use colored net fabric and cellophane or just fabric.

Choose a fabric that is able to hold it's shape but still quite flexible when you gather it all together.

Fabric Gift Wrap You Gift Basket

	1. Measure the basket from the middle of the underneath, all the way over the handle back to the underneath. 2. Cut a square piece of fabric to that measurement.
	This basket has a bottle of wine and two Crystal wine glasses, ideal for a wedding basket or a special 50th birthday . 3. When you have assembled the items in your basket, place the basket in the middle of the fabric and bring the four corners of the fabric together.
	4. In one hand, bunch all the fabric together, with the other hand, pull the fabric tightly through. So it looks like the picture on the left. 5. Once you have done that, secure the bunched up fabric tightly with a rubber band or a tie twist.
	6. If you feel there is to much fabric sticking out of the top, trim it to about 8 to 10 inches. 7. Either make a bow or buy a ready made bow and tie it to the basket. I made a bow using blue polka dot wired ribbon. Different fabrics and ribbon will give you different looks.
	8. To add that extra special finishing touch and this is optional, I tied a small bow to the back of your basket using the same wired ribbon. This can be in the same color or a matching color. This will not be very visible but I think it finishes the basket off nicely because gift baskets are seen from all sides but mainly from the front.
